USBC Open Championships #TeamVirtue Experience

At Virtue Bowling Supply (VBS) we believe the USBC Open Championships (OC) epitomizes what makes bowling so different from other sports or activities and so special. It encompasses the opportunity to challenge yourself and see how much you have improved each year (like other sports), but the social aspects of bowling is what makes it shine! This event is done with a group of people who all love bowling just like you. The OC has been creating memories among friends and families for over 120 years! Teams of the same 5 people or doubles teams who have been bowling the event together for decades! There is no question the OC further deepens the roots of each bowler into the sport of bowling, making them a bowler for life. This is why VBS is proud to put its resources to work to create a new experience for bowlers at the OC. 

We are aiming to create a one of a kind, value driven, concierge experience to the OC that has us taking care of all of your registration, team formation, administrative work and more. 

• Don’t have any team mates? We got you! We will use our registration form to put you with similar skilled players who you’ll have a blast with. 
• A dedicated group captain will always be available to answer your questions, and receive your feedback so we can continue to improve the experience.

• Exclusive access to coaches and industry experts that will provide you inside information on the oil pattern, lane play strategies, and individualized coaching recommendations to help you prepare for the event.
• The group will get access to exclusive ball discounts and product raffles to help make preparation for the OC more affordable then ever.
• For those that don’t enter with a team or a doubles partner, we will have a process in which captains are selected (based on average) and they can form their teams based on the pool of available bowlers.

  • Team – Saturday 7/26/25 @ 11:30am
  • S & D – Sunday 7/27/25 @ 7am
  • As we get closer to the event we will try to organize an optional Bowler’s Journal group squad on Friday prior to the events.
  • We will regain captains club status w/early booking privileges in 2026, and will lock in mid-day squads starting in 2026. Due to the timing of the captain transition, we didn’t get the opportunity to pick dates and times early.

One of the many struggles of organizing large groups of teams for the OC is dealing with people not paying on time. VBS is happy to utilize our size and resources to make this less of a pain point and instead reward those that pay on time with discounts and benefits, while those that need more time will have additional fees that go 100% back into the group to add more value in the form of product raffles and more.
