Get To Know Your Driller:

1.Favorite thing to do outside of bowling and why?
This is hard to narrow down to one thing. If you don't count spending time with my friends and family, I would have to say web design and development. I enjoy learning new things, and web design gives a huge pool of information to learn and apply to our Virtue Bowling Supply website.

2. Favorite movie of all time and why?
Although, I get asked all of the time about King Pin and the Big Lebowski by "non-bowlers", I'd have to go with The Departed. It's practically impossible to pick a favorite movie as it depends on my mood and the genre, but The Departed does a lot of things that I enjoy in a movie.

3. Favorite bowling ball of all time and why?
This one is easy. The original V2 sanded is my favorite ball of all time. Although, I had my first 800 with the V2 pearl, the V2 sanded was the most versatile bowling balls that I have ever thrown. Most importantly it was a ball that lasted forever. It felt like it was the end of the era of bowling balls that reacted well, hit hard and didn't lose a lot of performance over time. Today's era of equipment reacts incredible, out performs that ball by a lot, but doesn't last as long.

4. Sports fan? favorite teams? and why?
I love watching and playing sports. I played a little football and a whole lot of basketball. I might make some enemies for saying this, but I can't watch baseball at all. Growing up on basketball got me used to a fast paced, spontaneous game that never slows down. I lose my man card a little bit though as I don't have a favorite sports team. I really don't like how often players move and teams change from year to year. For me, this makes it difficult for a team to represent the same idea or brand from season to season. I tend to find players that I like and root for those players no matter what team they are on.

5. Your favorite thing about your job at Virtue and why?
This is the easiest question! The customers! Bowling has the most invisible elements of any other sport or game. Our sand traps, water hazards and rough patches are completely invisible. The difference between our clubs (referring to golf) is invisible. Helping customers understand all of those invisible elements and help them improve their game is why it is so easy for me to get up and go to work every day. I was once told that happiness doesn't come from success, success comes from happiness, so I try to do what I love.

6. If you had to describe your personality in one word, what would it be?
Calculated.
